According to the National Weather Service, the 6 am temperature today for my zip code is 81 degrees (27 C). It's not even July yet. I don't think I'm gonna make it to September this year.

I think the federal government should give us early release before it gets too hot. Or provide us "clothing optional" work days to compensate us for the challenging conditions. So when the Metro trains decide that it's a good time for the A/C to stop working, I can ride in relative comfort (I can't speak for my fellow passengers).

Great idea! I'm sure I'd love to sit down where some creep's sweaty hairy balls have just been resting. On the other hand, my coworkers don't want to see me in my birthday suit and I don't want to see them in theirs. Let's all agree to keep our bits covered, mkay?

The clothing optional proposal seems a like a Bubba Clinton proposal. Is he a reader?
