Juventus: We Haz a Marcolino!

ORIGINALLY POSTED ON JULY 8, 2010

Lots of good things happened late last week while Dirtbunny was cruelly isolated from zebra stuff because of a family obligation.

First:

moar armz plz

'S true!   Juve has obtained Marco Motta on loan from Roma Udinese.  Lordy lordy does Juve need a right back!  He didn't play much last year for Roma, but I think he's packing big guns good and even if he's not, he can't possibly be worse than Zebina, C.D.  Win!

Snoopy dance*

Second:

It seems that Dirtbunny was wrong about Giovinco.  For now, anyway, he is training with the zebras and playing in zebra friendlies.  While I hate being wrong, I can make an exception for the Elf.

proof:  Once he was a football player for Juventus.

Third:

Juventus presented the fabulous new jersey for 2010/2011.  The stripes are still there (hooray!), but the second kit is something completely different (mainly white, though, so there should be opportunities for WWKs.  Hooray!).  The keeper kit is butt-ugly, but I for one am willing to forgive that since it appears that Juve's former third keeper, the
stupidest man alive, who is DeadToMe and whose name therefore shall not be mentioned *coffcoffchimenticoff* has apparently taken his pinheadedness elsewhere and has been released.

BRB  *more Snoopy dance*

Ahem.  Where was I?  Ah yes.  The new kit:

As you can see, The Divine Buffon cannot be troubled by such mundane duties as these, but Il Capitano is happy to stand up with Manninger and some bb without a number named "Boniperti."  Cos he's all about showing Il Mister that he's a go-to guy during these uncertain times when he's getting old and who deserves to start any game he wants  the leadership.

Here's a lovely video of the presentation.  Clearly, ADP has lots of practice in standing still and looking blank while people stare at him, but even he looks a little uncomfortable.  Also, watch them all power down when the suits start talking.  &hearts

WARNING:  VIDEO CONTAINS JEAN-CLAUDE BLANC. JUVENTINI OF THE UNFORGIVING SORT SHOULD NOT VIEW ON A FULL STOMACH.

There are also training videos of things like jogging, sitting in a circle, stretching, jumping over stuff (sorta), and pretending to ignore the cameras and crowd, plus many many photos over at Juventuscalcio  that I haven't figured out how to pinch yet.

Transfer rumors are swirling.  Some of them are too horrible to contemplate, so I am pretending that they do not exist.  One disturbing fact is that Tiago Mendes is scheduled to return to training camp soon.  I was starting to think he was playing well for Portugal, but then he fucked something up, I don't remember what, so he's back on my shit list where he belongs.  Moron.  May Atletico Madrid buy him pleeez.  Ugh.

You may have noticed that some things are too terrible to mention but the potential return of Tiago Mendes is not.  That's how bad the rumors are.  They're going to make me hate Real Madrid furreal this time (I came close after the whole CRon thing, but RVDV kept me going) and no van der Vaart  is going to be enough to prevent it.  *shudders*
